Vacancy for Parish Clerk/RFO.

 30 Hours per month

 

Eaton Parish Council wish to appoint a Clerk/RFO who can help our Council deliver timely and quality services to our Parish.

The ideal candidate will be highly self motivated and community focused.  You should have sound administration, IT, communication, financial and organisational skills.   To meet strict deadlines, set by the Council you must be able to organise and prioritise your workload.

The role will require you to

  1. Develop strong relationships with key local and regional bodies
     

  2. Effectively manage and control the Council’s financial affairs, including budgets and financial records
     

  3. Administer council services and assets, including allotments, burial ground, notice boards, defibrillators and website
     

  4. Comply with internal and external audits
     

  5. Work with the Council to ensure meetings are properly administered and decisions effectively implemented.
     

  6. Provide all the required information for the Council to manage it’s affairs.

Council meetings take place bimonthly usually on a Monday  evening. The position is home based but there will be the need for occasional site visits as required.

It is desirable that the successful candidate works towards the Certificate in Local Council Administration (CILCA).

 

Employment terms and conditions follow those of the NALC standard Contract of Employment and is subject to a six month probationary period
